What is Screen Recorder?

Screen Recorder is a free online tool that captures your screen, application windows, or browser tabs directly in your browser. Record video with system audio, microphone narration, or both for tutorials, presentations, and demos. No software installation, browser extensions, or account sign-up required.

How to Record Your Screen Online

Click "Start Recording" and choose what to share: your entire screen, a specific application window, or a browser tab. Enable system audio to capture sounds from your screen, or turn on the microphone to record voice narration. Press Stop when finished and download your recording as WebM or MP4. The recording is processed entirely in your browser for maximum privacy.

Recording Options and Audio Sources

Capture system audio from videos, music, or applications playing on your screen. Add microphone input for voice commentary in tutorials or walkthroughs. Choose between 15, 24, 30, or 60 FPS frame rates to balance quality and file size. Select high, medium, or low quality depending on your use case and storage requirements.

When to Use Screen Recorder

Create software tutorials and product demos without expensive recording software. Record video calls, online presentations, or webinars for later review. Capture gameplay clips, browser-based content, or streaming video. Perfect for bug reports, user testing sessions, and educational content where you need to show exactly what happens on screen.

Privacy and Security

All recording happens locally in your browser. No video data is uploaded to any server. Your recordings stay on your device until you choose to share them. The tool uses the standard Web MediaRecorder API supported by all modern browsers including Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari.
