Document Scanner is a free online tool that turns a photo of a document into a clean, flattened scan — no app to install and no account to create. Take or upload a picture of a contract, receipt, ID, form, or handwritten note, drag the corners to the page edges, and the tool straightens the perspective and enhances it into a crisp scanned copy. Save it as a multi-page PDF in A4 or Letter size, or export the pages as images.
Click "Select Images" or drop a photo onto the page. Drag the four corner handles so the highlighted box hugs the edges of your document, then choose an enhancement — Color, Grayscale, or Black & White for the classic scanned look. Press "Scan page" to flatten and clean the image. Add more pages the same way, reorder or delete any you don't want, then download a multi-page PDF. It works on your computer and on your phone's camera roll.
Photos of documents are almost never perfectly square-on. The scanner uses perspective correction to map your four corners onto a true rectangle, removing the angle and keystone distortion so the page looks like it came off a flatbed scanner. The Black & White mode applies adaptive thresholding, which evaluates lighting locally across the page to keep text sharp and the background clean even under uneven light — ideal for printing, faxing, or shrinking file size.
Scan several pages in a row and the tool collects them into a single document. Reorder or delete any page, preview it full screen, then export everything as one multi-page PDF. Choose Auto to keep each page the exact shape of your scan, or A4 / Letter to produce standard pages that print and file cleanly — ideal for contracts, forms, and reports. You can also save individual pages as images.
All scanning, enhancement, PDF creation, and text recognition happen locally in your browser using your device's own processing. Your documents are never uploaded to a server, making this a safe way to scan sensitive paperwork like IDs, bank statements, medical forms, or legal contracts. Close the tab and nothing is left behind.
